Football Game Preview: Northside Methodist Academy Knights vs. Houston Academy Raiders + How To Watch

Northside Methodist Academy hasn't had much luck against Houston Academy recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Knights will head out to take on the Raiders at 7:00 p.m. Northside Methodist Academy has given up an average of 45.4 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Northside Methodist Academy is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Trinity Presbyterian on Thursday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Knights took a blow against the Wildcats, falling 49-13. While losing is never fun, the Knights can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 343rd, while the Wildcats are ranked 142nd).

Meanwhile, Houston Academy won against Alabama Christian Academy last Friday with 21 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Friday. The Raiders walked away with a 21-13 victory over Prattville Christian Academy. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Raiders.

Northside Methodist Academy better keep an eye on Ty Morris. He was instrumental in Houston Academy's win, rushing for 107 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries.

Houston Academy's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Northside Methodist Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Northside Methodist Academy took a serious blow against Houston Academy in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 57-7. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point the Knights were down 48-0.
