Basketball Recap: SkyView Academy Hawks vs. Front Range Christian Falcons
The SkyView Academy Hawks stacked an eighth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Thursday. They really took it to Front Range Christian for the full four quarters, racking up a 70-18 win at home. Given SkyView Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 107th, while the Falcons are ranked 325th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Isaac Dove, who scored 22 points. He is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Ty Coberly, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds and five steals.
Despite the loss, Front Range Christian saw an underclassman step up: Haedan Morton scored four points along with six rebounds and two blocks. It was the first time this season that Morton posted two or more blocks.
SkyView Academy's victory bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Front Range Christian, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-12.
SkyView Academy will head out on the road to square off against the Timberwolves at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Front Range Christian, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against the Thunder at 1:00 p.m.
