Basketball Recap: Catholic Central Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Catholic Central on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew the Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk Indians out of the water with an 84-52 final score. The Crusaders pushed the score to 68-40 by the end of the third, a deficit the Indians had little chance of recovering from.

Sei'Mir Roberson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, going 11 for 21 on his way to 31 points in addition to six steals and five boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Qwameik Smith, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 13 boards.

Catholic Central's win was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 81.6 points per game. As for Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-4.

Catholic Central will welcome La Salle Institute at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. La Salle Institute knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past six matches -- so hopefully Catholic Central likes a good challenge. As for Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk, they will venture away from home to face off against Schalmont at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk is facing Schalmont at the right time seeing as Schalmont is stuck on a seven-game losing streak.
