South Elgin got themselves on the board against Riverside-Brookfield on Thursday, but Riverside-Brookfield never followed suit. They blew past the Bulldogs 10-0. Considering the Storm have won 11 games by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Jenna Sheehan made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 11 over five innings pitched. Those 11 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and one triple.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Anna Kiel, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in May of 2024. Kaidence Rumachik was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI.
