Basketball Recap: Scott Central Comes Up Short

Scott Central lost against Newton on January 6th and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Scott Central Rebels took a 44-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Newton Tigers. The Rebels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Scott Central now has a losing record at 8-9. As for Newton, their victory bumped their record up to 12-6.

Scott Central will head out on the road to face off against Bay Springs at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Bay Springs knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matchups -- so hopefully Scott Central likes a good challenge. As for Newton, they will square off against Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
