Basketball Recap: Cordova Comes Up Short

Cordova easily dispatched Collierville last Tuesday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. The Cordova Wolves fell just short of the Buckhorn Bucks by a score of 52-49 on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Wolves can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 135th in Tennessee, while the Bucks are ranked 25th in Alabama).

Cordova moved to 5-4 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Buckhorn, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 9-4.

Cordova didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 47-41 defeat against Pinson Valley on the 21st. Buckhorn has also already played their next match, a 75-46 win against Bartow on the 21st.
