Basketball Recap: Five Straight Road Wins for Summit

Summit can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They came out on top against the Aquinas Falcons by a score of 59-47. That's more bragging rights for the SkyHawks, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Aquinas' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Malachi Jones, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 14 rebounds. Jones is crushing it when it comes to boards: he's pulled down at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. Kenneth Crews was another key player, putting up eight points and seven rebounds.

Summit's victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-4. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 66.0 points per game. As for Aquinas, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-3.

Summit wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 70-49 win against South Hills on the 12th. As for Aquinas, they will venture away from home to square off against Indian Springs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Aquinas is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.7 points per game this season.
