Volleyball Recap: La Salle's Losing Streak Snapped at Seven Games

La Salle came into Saturday's game having lost seven straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Carroll Patriots on Saturday. The Lancers were shut out 2-0 the last time they took on the Patriots, so the Lancers were just returning the favor.

The final score came out to 25-20, 25-16.

Colin Birck paced La Salle's offense, picking up six kills. Birck got some help from Owen Ambach and his 23 assists. Ambach also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Will Pierson, racking up two apiece.

La Salle's win bumped their record up to 4-13. As for Carroll, they dropped their record down to 4-12 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home.

La Salle wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-1 defeat against Chaminade Julienne Catholic on the 26th. As for Carroll, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Lakota West on the 26th.
