Asheville School (Independent) had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. Everything went their way against the Madison Patriots on Tuesday as they made off with a 3-0 win. For the Blues, this counts as revenge for the 3-1 victory the Patriots walked away with the last time they faced one another back in October of 2023.

While Asheville School (Independent) might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Madison scored at least 21 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-23, 27-25, 25-21.

Madison now has a losing record of 1-2.

Coming up, Asheville School (Independent) will venture away from home to challenge Franklin at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Madison, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-1 win against North Buncombe on the 20th.
