It was a good run, but Perkins unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They opened the new year with a less-than-successful 63-53 loss to the Ross Little Giants. The contest marked the Pirates' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Perkins' defeat ended a seven-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 6-2. As for Ross, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven games, which provided a nice bump to their 7-4 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Perkins will welcome Norwalk at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Ross, they will be playing at home against Clay at 7:15 p.m. on Friday.
