Basketball Recap: Make It Five in a Row for Mercy School Institute

Mercy School Institute entered their tilt with Amarillo Collegiate Academy on Friday with four consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with five. They took down the Amarillo Collegiate Academy Eagles 48-31. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 40-28 last Thursday.

It was another big night for Taim Salkini, who posted 15 points. Muhmmad Jovindah was another key player, putting up ten points.

Despite the defeat, Amarillo Collegiate Academy saw an underclassman step up: freshman Will Stollings put up 13 points. Another player making a difference was Trapper Ernst, who had three points and five boards.

Mercy School Institute's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Amarillo Collegiate Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 11-17.

Mercy School Institute has already played their next game, a 46-43 defeat against Weatherford Express HomeSchool on the 15th. As for Amarillo Collegiate Academy, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 63-59 win against Grace Classical Christian Academy on the 14th.
