Soccer Game Preview: Bastrop vs. Navarro

The Bastrop Bears will venture away from home to take on the Navarro Vikings at 7:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

On Friday, Bastrop and Cedar Creek finished up on equal footing with a 0-0 draw.

Meanwhile, Wednesday just wasn't the day for Navarro's offense. They came up short against McCallum on Wednesday, falling 3-0. Navarro haven't had much luck with McCallum recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

With that draw, Bastrop's record moves to 11-3-3. As for Navarro, their loss dropped their record down to 1-6-3.

Bastrop got the 'W' when the teams last played back in January against Navarro by a conclusive 4-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bears since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
