Volleyball Recap: Homewood-Flossmoor Extends Home Winning Streak to Eight

Homewood-Flossmoor had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Andrew Thunderbolts. For the Vikings, this counts as revenge for the 2-1 victory the Thunderbolts walked away with the last time they faced one another back in April of 2024.

The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Homewood-Flossmoor who won the one that mattered. The final score came out to 25-17, 24-26, 25-22.

Despite the loss, Andrew still got an impressive performance from Aidan Aguayo, who had 20 assists and three digs.

Homewood-Flossmoor pushed their record up to 22-5 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. As for Andrew, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-18 record this season.
