Basketball Recap: Mojave Victorious

Mojave's game back in December of 2024 was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They escaped with a win against the Big Pine Warriors by the margin of a single free throw, 37-36. This was a revenge game for the Mustangs: when they faced off against the Warriors back in December of 2024, they had to take a 43-35 loss.

Big Pine's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was CHANCE DIXON, who posted 14 points. NOAH ERICSON was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Mojave moved to 2-6 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak. As for Big Pine, their loss dropped their record down to 2-1.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Trona the next time they take the court. Big Pine will head out to face Trona at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, while Mojave will play them later in the day, at 5:30 p.m.
