Eastlake has gone 9-1 against Parkland recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Eastlake Falcons will head out on the road to face off against the Parkland Matadors at 6:30 p.m. Eastlake will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.
Eastlake's tournament run continued when they took on El Paso on Saturday. Eastlake came out on top against El Paso by a score of 7-2.
Ava Licerio made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out nine batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off seven hits. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in strikeouts. She was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-3.

In other batting news, Eastlake let Isabella Aguilera and Celina Estrada run wild. Aguilera went 2-for-3 with two doubles and one RBI, while Estrada scored two runs while going 2-for-3. Those two doubles gave Aguilera a new career-high. Alexis Garcia was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.
Eastlake kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least 11 hits in five consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, after soaring to 11 runs the game before, Parkland was a bit more limited in their game on Saturday. They took a 6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pebble Hills.
Parkland saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Samantha Martinez, who went 1-for-2 with one double.
Parkland has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 11-9 record this season. Eastlake's record is now 15-5.
Tuesday's matchup will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Eastlake hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .409. However, it's not like Parkland struggles in that department as they've averaged .420. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Eastlake took their win against Parkland in their previous meeting back in March of 2023 by a conclusive 11-0. Does Eastlake have another victory up their sleeve, or will Parkland turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
