Volleyball Recap: Excelsior Springs Takes a Loss

Excelsior Springs lost against St. Pius X back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Tigers fell 3-1 to the Warriors. The Tigers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 19-25, 25-10, 25-18.

Jordin Price paced Excelsior Springs' offense, picking up nine kills. Price got some help from Lillah Shue and her 15 assists. Shue also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Maddie Breshears, each putting up two.

Excelsior Springs' loss dropped their record down to 6-13-1. As for St. Pius X, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-13-1.

Excelsior Springs wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-0 defeat against Kearney on the 7th. As for St. Pius X, they are taking a road trip to square off against Cameron at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
