Volleyball Recap: Comstock Park Comes Up Short

Comstock Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Belding Black Knights. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last five times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Comstock Park's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Belding, their win was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-7-1.

Comstock Park and Belding could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Michigan Rankings. The Panthers (ranked 512th) will meet Hopkins (ranked 245th) at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Belding will square off against Jenison at 8:30 p.m. on Saturday with a big rank disadvantage (315 vs. 3).
