 Monday just wasn't the day for Peoria Christian's offense. They lost  10-0 to the Brimfield Indians on Monday. The  defeat   continues a  trend for Peoria Christian in their matchups with Brimfield: they've now lost four in a row.
 For Brimfield's part,  Sawyer Drury made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she  didn't allow a single  earned run and  only two  hits while striking out 13 over five innings pitched. Drury has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts in seven consecutive pitching appearances. Drury was also big at the plate,  scoring two  runs and  stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.
 In other batting news,  Kylee Vaughn was  excellent,  scoring two  runs while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was  Brooke Sumner, who  scored two  runs while going 2-for-3.
 Peoria Christian now  has a losing record at 6-7. As for Brimfield, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won six of their last seven matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 12-3 record  this season.
 Peoria Christian will look to defend their home field  on Tuesday against Eureka at 4:30  p.m. As for Brimfield, they will head out on the road to  face off against  Farmington at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. Farmington will be hoping to continue their four-game streak of scoring more  runs each  contest than the last.
