Soccer Recap: Maple Hill Takes a Loss

Maple Hill's game on Wednesday was all tied up 0-0 at the half, but sadly for them it didn't stay that way. They fell just short of the Greenville Spartans by a score of 1-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Greenville this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-0 on Saturday.

Maple Hill's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 7-1 and their overall record down to 9-2. As for Greenville, the win was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-1.

Coming up, Maple Hill will challenge Waterford-Halfmoon at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Maple Hill will need to watch out since Waterford-Halfmoon have now posted at least four goals in their last five matches. As for Greenville, they will face off against Chatham at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
