Softball Game Preview: Houston Mustangs vs. Collierville Dragons

The Houston Mustangs are taking a road trip to square off against the Collierville Dragons at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. Houston is coming into the game on a six-game losing streak.

Houston came up short against Tipton-Rosemark Academy on Tuesday, falling 15-8.

Ella McKnight led a balanced group of hitters, scoring a run while going 1-for-3. Lindsey Barnes was another key player, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 2-for-4.

Meanwhile, Collierville made easy work of Briarcrest Christian on Tuesday and carried off a 15-1 win. The Dragons haven't had any issues with the Saints recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Collierville's win bumped their record up to 9-7-1. As for Houston, their loss dropped their record down to 7-12.

Houston couldn't quite finish off Collierville in their previous meeting last Monday and fell 3-1. Can the Mustangs avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
