Baseball Recap: Knightdale Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Middle Creek, Knightdale was happy to have turned things around on Friday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Southeast Raleigh Bulldogs an 11-0 shutout. The Knights haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

The team relied heavily on Trey Sides, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Cameron Bosak was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.

Knightdale always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .560. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Southeast Raleigh only posted an OBP of .000.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Knightdale will host Enloe at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Southeast Raleigh, they will challenge Hillside at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Southeast Raleigh has now lost ten straight dating back to last season, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 8.
