Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Horizon Honors). Everything went their way against the Morenci Wildcats on Friday as they made off with a 22-3 victory. Considering the Eagles have won six matches by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Audriana Anglada made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she struck out eight batters over four innings while giving up three earned runs off three hits. Anglada was also big at the plate, scoring three runs while going 2-for-4. That's the most runs she has posted since back in March of 2024.

In other batting news, Nicole Topete was a standout: she fired off two home runs, three runs, and three RBI while going 3-for-4. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Isabella Singleton, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs.

The win was the fourth in a row for Horizon Honors, bringing their record up to 12-1. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for Morenci, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-10.

Horizon Honors and Morenci should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Arizona Rankings. The Eagles will face off against ALA - Anthem South at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday with a big rank advantage (19 vs. 151). Meanwhile, Morenci (ranked 96th) will meet Santa Rita (ranked 252nd) at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
