Quakertown dropped their record down to 7-5-1 on Wednesday, which also ended the team's three-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Plymouth Whitemarsh Colonials by a score of 5-4. The Panthers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Colonials earlier this season, when they won 5-0.

Quakertown saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carter Tucholski, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. Brady Martin also deserves some recognition as he hit his first triple of the season.

As for Plymouth Whitemarsh, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 6-6 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.6 runs on average over those games.

On Plymouth Whitemarsh's side, Spencer Rosen and Jake Rauscher dominated on the mound. Rosen pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits, while Rauscher tossed five innings while giving up three earned (and one unearned) runs off six hits. Rosen has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one hit in six consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Mason Eagland and Gabe Caucci did most of the damage at the plate: Eagland went 2-for-4 with one triple and two RBI, while Caucci got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs and one double. Caucci has become a key player for Plymouth Whitemarsh: the team is 3-1 when he posts at least two runs, but 3-5 otherwise. Cole Reilly was another key player, going 2-for-3 with one run and one double.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Quakertown beat Plymouth Whitemarsh by a score of 4-3 on Friday.
