Recap: Lebanon Yellowjackets vs. Lee's Summit West Titans
If the Lebanon Yellowjackets were riding high off their 49-21 takedown of the Belle Tigers last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Lebanon took a 58-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Lee's Summit West on Thursday. Lebanon has not had much luck with Lee's Summit West recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
Lebanon's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bodie Cox, who scored 17 points along with three steals. Cox has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times she's played. Morgan Durbin was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Lebanon's defeat dropped their record down to 4-11. As for Lee's Summit West, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-10.
Lebanon won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against St. Charles at 6:00 p.m. on January 26th. St. Charles is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak. As for Lee's Summit West, they will head out on the road to challenge Lee's Summit North at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lee's Summit North presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Lee's Summit West in Missouri (Lee's Summit North is ranked 28th, while Lee's Summit West is ranked 289th).
