Softball Recap: Lakeridge Comes Up Short

Lakeridge extended their losing streak to six on Wednesday, dropping their season record down to 3-18 in the process. They lost 15-2 to the West Linn Lions. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Lions this season, with their most recent defeat being a 19-3 loss two weeks ago.

As for West Linn, they are on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-5 record this season. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matches by nine runs or more this season.

For West Linn's part, they got a massive performance out of Kendall Atwood, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. The team also got some help courtesy of Adi Johnston, who went 1-for-2 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Lakeridge is set to face off against their familiar foe Tigard at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, West Linn will take on rival Lake Oswego on Friday.
