Softball Recap: Perry Comes Up Short

Perry was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 15th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 16-0 to the Prairie City-Monroe Mustangs. The Bluejays were not able to make up for their defeat to the Mustangs from their previous meeting back in June of 2025.

Perry's loss dropped their record down to 0-12. As for Prairie City-Monroe, their victory was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Perry is set to face off against their familiar foe Greene County at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Meanwhile, Prairie City-Monroe will square off against rival West Marshall at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Mustangs 2.2, the Trojans 2.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
