Softball Recap: Dr. Phillips Gets the Win

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Ocoee, Dr. Phillips was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They blew past the Colonial Grenadiers 20-12. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Grenadiers recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Liana Grosch was a standout: she went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases. Olivia Coppola was another key player, going 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs.

They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Dr. Phillips kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in February of 2025.

Dr. Phillips' first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Colonial, they now also have a losing record of 1-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dr. Phillips will take on West Orange at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Colonial, they will challenge University at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
