Basketball Recap: Alcona Tigers vs. Rogers City Hurons

The Alcona Tigers had already won five in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 19.2 points), and they went ahead and made it six on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Rogers City 40-37. That's another feather in the cap for Alcona, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

David Sharboneau went supernova for Alcona, scoring 15 points. Another player making a difference was Cayden Hebert, who scored eight points along with two steals.

Alcona's win was their seventh straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 13-4. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.1 points per game. As for Rogers City, their loss dropped their record down to 3-10.
