Baseball Recap: Towanda Gets the Win

While Towanda's win against Edison wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Knights had just enough and edged out the Spartans 5-3. The victory continues a trend for the Knights in their matchups with the Spartans: they've now won three in a row.

Harper Welles was incredible, going 3-for-4 with four RBI and one stolen base. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

Towanda's win bumped their record up to 8-10. As for Edison, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 7-6.

Coincidentally, Towanda and Edison will both be playing Notre Dame the next time they take the field. The Knights will head out to face the Crusaders at 4:30 p.m. on Monday, while the Spartans will host them at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
