Soccer Recap: Aurora Comes Up Short

While it was all tied up 0-0 at halftime, Aurora was not quite Seward's equal in the second half on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Bluejays by a score of 1-0. Aurora were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Seward apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Aurora has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Seward, they now have a winning record of 7-6.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Aurora will square off against rival Waverly at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Seward is set to challenge their familiar foe Beatrice at 6:45 p.m. on Thursday.
