Basketball Recap: Adrian Brown's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Seabreeze over Hagerty

Seabreeze was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They came up short against the Hagerty Huskies, falling 79-53. The Sandcrabs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 41-18.

Several Sandcrabs players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Adrian Brown, who went 5 for 10 on his way to 11 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Reece Casto, who posted nine points and six boards.

Asa Kohn continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Hagerty, going 9 of 15 on his way to 26 points in addition to seven boards and six assists. Kohn's afternoon made it three games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Mason Morrow, who put up 16 points.

Seabreeze's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Hagerty, with the win, they broke their five-game losing streak and moved their record to 6-7.

Seabreeze will face off against Crescent City at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Hagerty, they will venture away from home to square off against Lake Howell at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Lake Howell's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven matchups.
