Basketball Recap: East Liverpool Takes a Loss

East Liverpool was the 41-32 winner over Oak Glen when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The contest between the East Liverpool Potters and the Oak Glen Golden Bears didn't end well, with the East Liverpool Potters falling 54-40. The Potters have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Oak Glen was led to victory by Reecelyn Craig and Mikalyn Balch. Craig went 5 of 9 en route to 12 points along with eight boards and four steals, while Balch went 6 of 14 on her way to 14 points and six rebounds. Those 12 points gave Craig a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Ella Stewart, who posted nine points.

East Liverpool's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Oak Glen, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 4-3.

East Liverpool didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 67-21 defeat against Carrollton on the 28th. As for Oak Glen, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 62-13 win against Madonna on the 20th.
