Softball Recap: Hoover Buccaneers vs. Oakland Patriots
In what's become a running theme this season, Hoover gave their fans yet another huge win on Friday. They never let the Oakland Patriots onto the board and left with a 6-0 victory. Winning may never get old, but Hoover sure is getting used to it with their fourth in a row.
Kaitlyn Raines tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run while striking out ten over five innings pitched.
On the hitting side, Hannah Christian was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, a triple, and a run.
On Oakland's side, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jazmyne Watkins, who went 1-for-2 with a stolen base.
Hoover has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 21-4-1 record this season. As for Oakland, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.
