Football Game Preview: MICDS Rams vs. Lutheran North Crusaders

MICDS hasn't had much luck against Lutheran North recently, but that could start to change on Friday. The Rams are taking a road trip to challenge the Crusaders at 7:00 p.m. The two teams are sauntering into the matchup backed by comfortable wins in their prior games.

Lutheran North will face off against a team with plenty of momentum: MICDS extended their winning streak to three on Saturday. The Rams blew past Burroughs, posting a 38-8 win. The matchup marked the Rams' most dominant victory of the season so far.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lutheran North). They took their game on Friday with ease, bagging a 57-7 win over Lutheran South. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Crusaders' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri football rankings (they are ranked 29th, while the Lancers are ranked 288th).

Lutheran North's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for MICDS, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Things could have been worse for MICDS, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 28-13 loss to Lutheran North when the teams last played back in October of 2024. Can the Rams avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
