While Bainbridge's victory against Port Angeles wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Spartans pulled ahead with a 14-13 photo finish over the Roughriders on Friday.

Charles Cox threw for 47 yards on five of 14 attempts. On the ground, Luke Thedford rushed for 69 yards on only seven carries.

Bainbridge's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-5. As for Port Angeles, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-4 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Bainbridge will head out to square off against North Kitsap at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Spartans surely won't give up without a fight. As for Port Angeles, they are taking a road trip to face off against Squalicum at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday.
