Basketball Game Preview: Strasburg Indians vs. Salida Spartans

The Strasburg Indians and the Salida Spartans will face off at 2:30 p.m. on Saturday without much rest, having both just played. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Strasburg is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Friday. They blew past Addenbrooke Classical Academy, posting an 81-29 win. The Indians have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 contests by 21 points or more this season.

Tyce Bollers was his usual excellent self, going 8-for-14 en route to 19 points along with seven boards and five assists. That's the most rebounds he has posted since back in January of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Glatfelter, who shot 56% from the field to rack up 11 points in addition to eight boards and three blocks.

They weren't the only ones working in the assist department: Strasburg was working as a unit and finished the game with 23 assists. They are 19-1 when they've passed the ball that well.

Meanwhile, Salida had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They came out on top against the Meteors by a score of 79-70.

The victory made it two in a row for Strasburg and bumps their season record up to 20-4. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 78.5 points over those games. As for Salida, their win bumped their record up to 16-8.
