Basketball Game Preview: Scituate Spartans vs. Mt. Hope Huskies

The Scituate Spartans will face off against the Mt. Hope Huskies at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Scituate will be strutting in after a win while Mt. Hope will be coming in after a defeat.

If Scituate beats Mt. Hope with 71 points on Monday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. Scituate strolled past Blackstone Valley Prep with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 71-56. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Spartans.

Meanwhile, Mt. Hope came up short against East Greenwich on Saturday and fell 65-54.

Scituate's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-10. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.3 points over those games. As for Mt. Hope, their loss ended a four-game streak of away wins and brought them to 13-5.
