Basketball Recap: Cornell Chiefs vs. Flambeau Falcons
Cornell was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They were beaten by the Flambeau Falcons 78-47. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Chiefs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 56-34 back in December of 2024.
Dominic Kopacz was his usual excellent self, going 8 of 12 on his way to 21 points and seven rebounds for Flambeau. The game was Kopacz's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Chanse Ludescher, who posted eight points and four steals.
Cornell's defeat dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Flambeau, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 14-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cornell will head out to take on Winter at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Flambeau, they are taking a road trip to square off against New Auburn at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
