Basketball Recap: William Penn Takes Down Ranked St. Elizabeth

On Tuesday, William Penn faced St. Elizabeth in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The William Penn Colonials came out on top against the St. Elizabeth Vikings by a score of 60-52. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 60-52 back in December of 2024.

William Penn is also on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 6-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.0 points per game. As for St. Elizabeth, they moved to 10-3 with that defeat, which also ended their eight-game winning streak.

William Penn will take on Polytech at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for St. Elizabeth, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 71-34 win against Newark Charter School on the 23rd.
