Football Recap: KY COATS and TAYGAN JENSEN Pace Duncan Defense

Duncan's game last Friday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They put the hurt on the Mayer Wildcats with a sharp 42-22 victory. The result was nothing new for the Wildkats, who have now won four games by 20 points or more so far this season.

PABLO RUIZ had another great game (as he tends to do), throwing for 188 yards and five touchdowns, while also rushing for 56 yards and one score. He is becoming a predictor of Duncan's success: when he posts at least three passing touchdowns the team is 4-1 (and 0-4 when he doesn't).

Duncan's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB 11.5 times. The heavy lifting was done by KY COATS and TAYGAN JENSEN, who racked up 7.5 sacks between them. COATS also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with 19. Duncan got some further help from CONNER FREE: he picked up 1.5 sacks and made ten total tackles (5.5 for loss).

Duncan picked up their first road win, bumping their record up to 4-5. As for Mayer, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.

As of now, neither Duncan nor the Wildcats have any future games scheduled.
