Baseball Preview: Millsap Bulldogs vs. Peaster Greyhounds

Millsap is 2-8 against Peaster since April of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Monday. The Millsap Bulldogs will be playing at home against the Peaster Greyhounds at 7:00 p.m. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Millsap took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They blew past Comanche 8-2.

Brogan Sims was incredible, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Kai Hanog, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Meanwhile, Peaster can finally bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They came out on top against Eastland by a score of 4-1.

Kord Henry was excellent, scoring two runs while going 1-for-2.

Millsap's win bumped their record up to 9-11-1. As for Peaster, their victory bumped their record up to 12-13-1.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Monday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Millsap has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.2 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Peaster struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.7. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
