Softball Recap: Church Point Takes a Loss

Church Point fell victim to Kaplan and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They lost 10-0 to the Kaplan Pirates. The loss continues a trend for the Bears in their meetings with the Pirates: they've now lost six in a row.

Church Point saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rylee Bertinot, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base.

Church Point's defeat dropped their record down to 3-7-1. As for Kaplan, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 16-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Church Point will face off against Mamou at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Kaplan, they will take on David Thibodaux at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
