Basketball Game Preview: Laney Buccaneers vs. Westover Wolverines + How To Watch

The Laney Buccaneers will hit the road for the first time this season to challenge the Westover Wolverines at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Laney is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 65.4 points per game this season.

On Friday, Laney earned a 52-40 victory over West Brunswick. Those 52 points were actually the fewest the Buccaneers have put up all season, but given the result they're probably not too concerned.

Laney got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Colin Lamb out in front who went 7-for-11 en route to 17 points. Lamb's evening made it seven games in a row in which he has scored at least 15 points. Another player making a difference was Emery Brown, who shot 60% from the field on his way to 14 points.

Meanwhile, Westover was able to grind out a solid victory over Pine Forest on Saturday, taking the game 52-44. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Wolverines.

Laney's record now sits at 5-2. As for Westover, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Laney ended up a good deal behind Westover in their previous meeting back in December of 2019, losing 66-47. Can the Buccaneers avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
