Softball Recap: Peters Township Takes a Loss

Peters Township was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They lost 18-7 to the Fox Chapel Foxes. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Indians of the 9-8 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2023.

Peters Township got a big performance out of Lucy Wicker, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run. That stolen base was Wicker's first of the season. Nina Logero was another key player, going 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Peters Township's loss dropped their record down to 3-15. As for Fox Chapel, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-2-1 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Peters Township will challenge Upper St. Clair at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Fox Chapel, they will face off against Deer Lakes at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
