Volleyball Game Preview: Rancho Cucamonga Cougars vs. Los Osos Grizzlies

The Rancho Cucamonga Cougars will face off against the Los Osos Grizzlies at 4:45 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.

On Tuesday, Rancho Cucamonga didn't have quite enough to beat Etiwanda and fell 3-2. The Cougars have struggled against the Eagles recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Rancho Cucamonga actually scored more points across those five sets (103-101), but sadly they still had to settle for second. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-21, 25-21, 16-25, 15-11.

Meanwhile, Los Osos came up short against Western Christian on Monday and fell 3-1.

Los Osos started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-11, 26-24, 25-15.

Rancho Cucamonga's loss dropped their record down to 17-11. As for Los Osos, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 10-14 record this season.
