The Kennard-Dale Rams will venture away from home to square off against the York Suburban Trojans at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday. Kennard-Dale will be strutting in after a win while York Suburban will be coming in after a defeat.
Kennard-Dale came out on top against Middletown on Monday thanks in part to the team's impressive six-run first inning. The Rams were the clear victors by a 9-1 margin over the Blue Raiders. The Rams might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by six runs or more this season.

Taryn Ashenfelter was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out 12 over seven innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024.
In other batting news, Maddie Argiro was incredible, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Addie Argiro, who went 1-for-4 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.
Meanwhile, York Suburban was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They took a 7-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of Eastern York.
Sara Lim was cooking despite her team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base.
Kennard-Dale's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-2. Those road wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.7 runs over those games. As for York Suburban, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-11.
York Suburban's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Kennard-Dale hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .315. It's a different story for York Suburban, though, as they've only averaged .243. Will they be able to contain Kennard-Dale's hitters?
Kennard-Dale took their victory against York Suburban when the teams last played back in March by a conclusive 14-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
