Basketball Recap: Alia Baldassano Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Castle View

Alta picked up another tournament win on Friday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 38-36 victory over the Castle View Sabercats.

Alta got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Alia Baldassano out in front who posted seven points. Another player making a difference was Sophia Ceballos, who earned seven points.

Kenzie Tosch and Lizzy Mroz certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Tosch went 5 for 12 on her way to 13 points, while Mroz put up eight points and eight rebounds. Tosch is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season.

Alta is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a massive bump to their 4-5 record this season. As for Castle View, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-6.

Alta didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 42-23 victory against George Washington on the 21st. As for Castle View, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 46-44 win against Skyview on the 21st.
