Basketball Recap: Mississippi School for the Deaf Comes Up Short

Mississippi School for the Deaf was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their tenth straight defeat. They were dealt a 74-33 loss at the hands of the Puckett Wolves. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 74-32 back in November.

Mississippi School for the Deaf lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Tyler Thomas, who posted 11 points. Another player making a difference was Learvious Hill, who scored ten points.

Mississippi School for the Deaf's defeat dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Puckett, the victory got them back to even at 7-7.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mississippi School for the Deaf will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Taylorsville at 7:00 p.m. on January 6, 2025. As for Puckett, they will host Raleigh at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Puckett is facing Raleigh at the right time seeing as Raleigh is stuck on a 12-game losing streak.
