Volleyball Recap: Ephrata Has No Trouble Against Eastern York

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Cedar Crest, Ephrata was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They put the hurt on the Eastern York Golden Knights with a sharp 3-0 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Mountaineers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

The final score came out to 25-14, 25-21, 25-13.

Austin Fries paced Ephrata's offense, picking up 14 kills. Fries got some help from Brayden Fries and his 25 assists. Austin also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with Joshua Oberholtzer, racking up four apiece.

Ephrata's win bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Eastern York, they now have a losing record of 2-3.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ephrata will welcome Penn Manor at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Eastern York, they will host Spring Grove at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
