Basketball Recap: Mississinawa Valley Blackhawks vs. Fort Recovery Indians
The Mississinawa Valley Blackhawks's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their 15th straight defeat. They were dealt a 74-41 defeat at the hands of Fort Recovery. Mississinawa Valley has not had much luck with the Indians recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Several Blackhawks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Cing Scott, who almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds. Another player making a difference was Aron Hunt, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and two steals.
Mississinawa Valley's defeat was their seventh straight at home, which dropped their record down to 1-15. As for Fort Recovery, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 5-11.
Mississinawa Valley will square off against the Owls at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Muncie Burris has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 7. As for Fort Recovery, they and the Redskins will face off at 7:00 p.m. on February 2nd without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. St. Henry will be looking to extend their current 11-game winning streak.
